The Cathedral boys golf team finished third at the TAPPS 6A State Golf Tournament on Tuesday at the Wildflower Country Club in Temple.
Cathedral finished with a two-day total of 631, four shots back of John Paul II for second place.
Individually, Dante Villarreal earned a medal and finished fourth. He shot a two-day total of 149, including a 72 on Tuesday.
"My putting was very good in the second round," Villarreal said. "I played better in the second round. On Monday I got tired late in the round and didn't finish as strong as I'd like. It was a nice way to finish my high school career."
Last year Cathedral finished seventh as a team.
